Fashion globalisation

Globalisation deeply influences our life. Today I just want to talk about how it changes the fashion of the world. When I was a (20 years ago) computer and T.V. were very expansive and not common for normal family, it is very difficult to find latest fashion information. People just wear simple style .But nowadays, you can see fashion girl who is wear newest style every where in China.

Through the TV, internet, magazines and etc, people knows what other country fashion style, new style was copied by the designer and spread everywhere. For example, if the mini skirt is the main theme of the fashion week, maybe during the flowering months you can see heaps of girls from many different countries wearing the similar style in many different countries.

Fashion globalisation also changes tradition style, and some times you can find people wearing with very different combination. Last week I saw an Indian lady worn a tradition Indian dress with a jeans jacket and Nike ball shoes. I do not know weather wearing like this is common in Indian or not, but I have seen this combination many times in NZ,at the beginning , I found its very funny, but now I can understand those people are impacted by Fashion globalisation, they want to keep their tradition and also want to accept new styles.

Fashion globalisation is not only influence normal people, but also top designer and super stars. On the picture, Victoria was wearing a beautiful and tradition Chinese dress; it was designed by Karl Lagerfeld (the man next to her, First designer of Channel for many years), on the other picture you can find Liz who is from England was wearing a tradition Indian dress whereas her husband who’s an Indian was wearing a nice suite.

In my opinion, I like fashion globalisation, at least, we can get more choice about what we are gonna to wear.
